Java Microprofile & Wildfly Swarm: Evolution of Enterprise Java
The goal of the Java Microprofile project is optimizing Enterprise Java for a microservices architecture. As one of the most popular implementations of Java Microprofile specification, WildFly Swarm defines an innovative way to package and execute Java EE applications by packaging them with just enough of the server runtime into a single jar package as your application. It has built-in support for third party apps and frameworks like Logstash and NetFlix OSS projects like Hystrix and Ribbon. It integrates with upstream Red Hat projects for single sign-on KeyCloak, monitoring Hawkular, data grid InfiniSpan, and more broadly, OpenShift Container Platform. During my session, I’ll demonstrate practical ways of implementing cloud native microprofile apps with Wildfly Swarm on OpenShift container platform.
